The 2nd International Symposium on Catalytic and Technology in Sustainable Energy and Environment (EEACT 2nd 2016) was held in Tianjin, at Renaissance Tianjin Lakeview Hotel from October 11th to 14th 2016. With the great success of the first event of this series of symposia, the second event was held in Tianjin. The theme of the symposium keeps the same as “Catalytic science and technology in sustainable energy and environment”. The program of the symposium included a Plenary Session, an Industrial Catalysis Tutorial Session and Two Parallel Sessions with topics as “Catalysis in Sustainable Energy” and “Catalysis in Sustainable Environment”.
Two members of our group, including Dr. Xueyan Qi and Dr. Yanzhao Dong attended the conference and made two posters presentation entitled, “Activated carbon supported gold-glutathione complexes catalysts for acetylene hrdrochlorination” and “A triphenylphosphine-ligated gold-based catalyst for acetylene hydrochlorination”. This conference helps us know the catalytic conversion of biomass and understand the catalytic process of NOx. During the communication, we exchange new ideas and discuss some queries about Py-IR and NH3-TPD technique with international colleagues. This conference helps us understand the latest research in the filed of catalysis and brings us new inspirations in our research works. More important, it is an unforgettable and meaningful experience for post graduate.
